The Aga Hall Estate project is being developed under the patronage of its owner, the Prince Aly Khan Hospital (PAKH) Charitable Trust, in technical collaboration with the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH). The PAKH Charitable Trust has a legacy dating back to June 30, 1945, when it was originally founded as the Ismailia General Hospital. The agency supporting the habitat and sustainable development side of the project, AKAH, was formally established in 2016 as an umbrella for various Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) agencies that have provided habitat and training services since the 1990s, with its Indian branch active since 2000. While the current redevelopment began construction in early 2022, the site itself holds deep historical roots as a family residential domain established in 1848.
